Objection Handling Scripts
Objection: “I can’t talk right now"
What likely happened is that they answered, heard/ found out it was you, and no longer want to talk
2 part response:
1. Okay, before I let you go OR while I have you
2. Ask a question
- IE:
- Okay, well before I let you go, were you planning for an investment property or a place for yourself
- Okay, while I have you, are you looking in the Dubuque area for a property? or somewhere else?
Side Note: listen to the tonality of their voice.
If there is a relaxed pace, they are likely just trying to get off the phone.
If there is a rush to their tone—respond with a sped up question and get pertinent info quickly:
- IE:
- Client: Now isn’t a good time, I’m getting ready to get called back to the doctor
- Oh, no worries and real quickly: on my end, I’ve been sending you 5 bedroom, 3 baths, under $800k is that right?
- And if everything does go according to plan when do you plan to move into this next home by?
- And before I let you go, what is it that has you looking for a new home in the first place?
